We hope to meet you again for our weekend of charity walks. If you are not sure about walking with a group do come and meet us in Derbyshire this August. We have planned three walks over the weekend of Friday 1st.Saturday 2nd., Sunday 3rd..August. It is a great time to get to know us. We walk at about two miles an hour for 4-5 hours with stops. It's holiday leisure walking! Full details are available on the "Come and Meet us/Grand Reunion" page.
This is now a firmly established event. In order to avoid the steep flight prices for this period it is better to book,say,16th December - 26th for example. Just a reminder - as Christmas Day this year is on Thursday, a walking day, it would seem fitting to finish by the beach and have an Xmas tea party. The intrepid may wish to have a dip or paddle whilst the rest may prefer petanque. A walking holiday is an ideal way to avoid the commercialism of Christmas. If sufficient interest, we will book a Christmas meal for those in the group who are not on Half-board.
This is also well established now. We walk on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day and hope to book a meal for the group before watching the fireworks display on NYE.. Suggested dates for those who prefer Christmas at home-December 28 - January 9) What better way could there be to start the New Year than relaxing with good companions, in the warmth (both literal and metaphorical). The celebration of Kings takes place on 6th. January, with a colourful procession and more fireworks.
The Carnival parade date is Saturday the.14th.February so we will aim to return in time to watch the parade. There are various evening events taking place during the proceeding week, such as the burial of the sardine on Ash Wednesday.
Groups: Please contact us in good time. We can offer groups a personalised service, and discounts are available during most of the season. We can usually book you in within hours of a request.
