One of the most delightful aspects of staying in Puerto is that there is so much to see and do. There are museums, Botanical Gardens, the Orchid gardens and Loro Park. There's a whole choice of live music within the local bars and restaurants in addition to high quality classical concerts in various hotels ( and now concerts by the Tenerife Symphony orchestra and other world-renown orchestras in the Auditorio, in Santa Cruz). After a pleasant dinner in one of the many restaurants, everyone seems to assemble in Plaza de Charco to watch the world go by and to relax in the warm, well lit atmosphere. The Carnival provides the (noisy but visually and musically stimulating) highlight for Puerto visitors during February 2010.
